Happy new year! Sorry for not updating for so long...
OK! Lots of games went out while I was gone, but now I am back!
So, let's forget aobut the big gap, and let's just talk about the newest ones, shall we?
New releases :
Mirror's Edge :
A really nice and interesting game by EA. It is about a girl named Faith. Set in a futuristic world where everything is nice and calm, expect a group of people called "The Runners", who act as messengers. The graphics are really good, and I managed to check it out myself! It is really really amazing! Everything is climbable and you really need to outsmart yourself in order to get through some stages. So, visit the link and see it for yourself.
Lord of the Rings : Conquest , The :
This game is amazing! All I can say about it. It has everything you need from a Lord of the Rings based videogame. The graphics are really good, gameplay is nice as well. The storyline is a bit short, but you can play multiplayer, so you don't really need to worry. Tolkien would have been so proud about this one!

Wheelman :
A really promising game by Midway. This game is supposed to be the best Hollywood-style driving simulation ever! You play the driver-for-hire for drug dealers, smugglers and you try to infiltrate into the Underworld as an undercover agent. Amazing storyline, hope it sticks to it!
The Godfather II :
Long waiting for this one! The sequel to the last Godfather. Good graphics and everything seems to be really mafia-like. There's a lot of juice in this one, so I will leave it to gamezone. Visit the link!

Yet another Update 26/8/2008
HELLO AGAIN!
Sorry for this long gap. Almost 4 months...
But let's get into bussiness.
New games:
There are a lot new ones, but I decided to write only about 2 of them.
Beijing 2008 : The Official Game Of The Olympic Games
Funny isn't it? This game was out long before the olympic games even started! Anyway, the game is actually the next of the sequel. Nice graphics, I have to say, but I hate the cover. Each and every of the people on it are American. How dow I know? THEY ALL HAVE AN AMERICAN FLAG ON THEM! For Godness sakes! Please! Give us a break! I wouldn't rate it too high. But it is worth a view. So, if there is a videogame expo near your house, which happens to have this game on display, go there, take a look at it, and then go back home.
Murder in the Abbey
Now there is a good mystery game. Nice, simple graphics. Much scenery. A lot of plotting and hours of wondering "Why did that happen? Who did it? What is this all about?". It is a game worth playing. It is a lot like the Lucas Arts games, the ones with this guy named Guybrush Threepwood, but a bit more serious that that... it is what a real "detective" wanabe would look forward to.
Oldies but Goldies!
Seriously...
This is a friendly reminder of how exciting old games can be.
Gothic 1,2, 2 GOLD and 3 !
The gothic sequel is the most amazing sequel of games ever. They wanted to make just 3 of them, which would seem sophisticated, BUT THEY ARE NOT! They made the third, but people liked it so much, they are going for a fourth version! Gothic 4 is in the pipeline, but I will really take a long time. They haven't even decided when to start. Anyway, I have information, that they will use Nvidia Physx in it, which will give everything an exciting glance into the world of Gothic. Wait, that can't be right. NVIDIA??? PhysX? Wasn't that AGEIA? Well, you are right, but not anymore. Now, NVidia bought PhysX and they think it is better this way. Anyway, let them do whatever they wan't who cares... my PhysX is still the AGEIA version...

New ones :
Stranger is an interesting new title. It is a strategy game which looks alot like Warcraft. The characters can perform spells, equip or use items and crystals. It is set in a fantastic world with a lot of things to explore. Check it out!
Sudden Strike 3 is yet another Faces-of-war-like game, set in the 2nd world war era. With generally amazing graphics, this game has many chances to go in the Top-10 list of this month, since it was just released 31/3. The landscape is fully interactive (buildings get destroyed etc.). The producers have designed more that 300 units in original scale. There is also shader usage and 3d surround sound as well.
The game supports up to 8 players in a multiplayer game, which includes GameSpy mode. It also has 5 playable campaigns.
Coming Sooners :
Ship Simulator 2008. A long awaited title. It is coming on PC 4/4/2008. The game is the next of the Ship Simulator series.
- Eight new vessels for Ship Simulator 2008, including a modern harbour tug with advanced azimuth thrusters and a push boat with 4 different cargo barges.
- Online multiplayer free-roaming action, including towing.
- Brand new sailing area Cornwall (Padstow), England, built with advanced visuals and bump mapping technology.
- 20 new missions, involving the new vessels and the new environment.
- Unlimited gameplay: in-game downloading of new missions.
- Option to connect and disconnect barges to the push boat in-game.
- New walkthrough options: explore the push boat’s highly detailed engine room.

Assassin's Creed (Coming Soon)
We are very close to the release of Assassin's Creed for PC. It is actually comes out in 23 days and counting. After asking the producers "What took you so long?", we were told that the PC version of the game will include a freeplay (sandbox) mode in which you will play randomly in the 4 cities, a feature only available in the PC version. It is believed that this is the game of the decade, and the decade isn't over yet.

Newcomers!
Imperium Romanum is out (see older update for more). This game will make many people crazy with its graphics and details. I just want to say that it also has many battles, mainly in the campaign.
Another "Just out" game is "TV Giant" A very nice game, with an interresting and innovative story. No details about the graphics yet (citation needed : leave comment).
"For the first time in a video game, you get to manage and develop your own television channel!
There are four television channels sharing the local city network and vying for a share of the viewing figures. As the big boss of the channel you have to win the special prize, awarded every four years, for bringing in the largest audience and highest satisfaction ratings.", is what gamezone.com says, and I can not agree more. This game by Nobilis Group is amazing and very innovative. It looks a lot like a strategy game, mainly because you will also be managing the company. Many might also say that it looks just like The Movies game, by EA, though, I wouldn't say so, since you have another scenario in the campaign, which is outrivalling 4 other companies. Anywa, see it yourself sometime, I think you will like it.
Just coming out today :
What about this : "LOST became a videogame! (At last)"
Yes! The new videogame by Ubisoft , entitled "LOST : Via Domus" was long-awaited by many gamers. Ubisoft has created another videogame which is promising and has a widespread title. As for graphical quality, we have no idea, there are no screenshots on the web (citation needed : leave comments). The videogame has a lot in common with the show , such as familiar scenery and characters.
Also, another game many are familiar with, comes out JUST TODAY ! The expansion pack for Sims 2, FreeTime! EA gives us yet another expansion for her already popular game which could even have taken hundreds of oscars. The game gives you many items and leisure activities ( football, golf etc.) The graphics are still the same and generally the gameplay is the same. I believe EA deserves a warm applause.

There are many interresting games coming out this week. One of the most awaited, is the new Sims 2 : Free Time. EA says it will have new and innovative leisure activities and items. They will also add new carreers. The International release date is 22/2/08 (Tomorrow). Another long-awaited and nice game is Imperium Romanum. The game looks a lot like Ceasar IV. It's graphics might be worse, though it has very realistic water,huge maps and landscapes. The producers say that they tried to make the game more civilized and they tried to emphasize into the building abilities of the Roman Empire. ""Imperium Romanum" boasts a variety of new features to enhance the game-play and complete the historical strategy gaming experience. These include a sophisticated graphics engine, a mass of authentic historical buildings such as the world famous Circus Maximus and Gladiator schools, an improved battle system where the player commands their armies and an interactive mission mode which allows the player to control the activation of goals." It also comes out in the 22nd of February. Though, it comes out in the 4th of March in N. America.
Going Gold :
There is also a game going gold till tomorrow, it is named RHEM 3. It is an adventure-puzzle game. The graphics are not so good, but generally the game looks very nice. Here's the plot :
"Set in a labyrinthine world of hidden rooms and secret passages, strange vehicles and odd machines, RHEM 3 opens the door to a new journey of mystery and adventure. In search of a certain black gem, hints hidden in a secret library and clues offered by the peculiar inhabitants of RHEM will assist you in your quest. With an adventurous spirit, logical thinking, and keen puzzle-solving, you will slowly but surely divine the location of this curious treasure and unveil the secret it holds! "

You actually somehow get involved with an "underground" organisation of thieves, robbers and killers that fight each other for money and pride. The organisation is named (you guessed it) "The Club". You will have to choose one of the nine unique characters of the game and go through a huge variety of scenarios just so that you can survive!
